Direct orders to the press help support Ibis by avoiding the substantial costs of distribution. Such orders can be placed in two ways:

  • By credit card through the PayPal system. PayPal is a safe, quick, and popular means of paying small merchants online—highly recommended by Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, and many other leading journals. Simply click onto the secure Add to Cart link at the bottom of your book selection page. Allow 7-10 days for delivery. If you order through the PayPal system, we will ship the books to you by airmail. We will also ship gift books this way: Please just specify the recipient in the space provided for messages by PayPal.

  • By dollar or sterling check or international money order, payable to Ibis Editions. Please mail checks to the press at P.O. Box 8074, German Colony, Jerusalem, Israel. List the title and quantity you are ordering. We will ship the books to you by airmail, upon receipt of the check. Allow 7-10 days for delivery.

Because of rising postal rates we are, unfortunately, no longer able to offer free shipping. Our shipping charges are still lower than Amazon's, though, and you'll be helping Ibis by ordering direct. Ibis books can also be ordered through Small Press Distribution in Berkeley, CA. SPD is a highly reliable distributor and will fill your order promptly. Readers in Germany may order through www.aphorisma.net/catalog/index.php, and customers elsewhere in Europe and in the Middle East can order through Rubin Mass Books. Books can be ordered from Amazon as well; Amazon will simply order them from SPD. Please note that the "4-6 week delivery" sometimes listed on the Amazon site for the Ibis books is not accurate. Books are usually shipped as soon as they're obtained from SPD.

The ibis in Egyptian mythology represents Thoth, scribe to the gods, maker of the palette and the ink-jar.
